Stereognostic Bag (presentation three)

How is the third presentation done with the Stereognostic Bag?

This is a fun activity for children and they always seem to love it. This activity helps the directress to know where the child is at and how much he understands. The directress shows the child once again how to place the strings of the bag around her neck and have the bag rest in her lap. The directress then tells the child that she will use her sense of touch to feel and find one shape and place it on the mat and the child must find the matching shape in the bag. The directress feels for a shape in the bag and places it on the mat. The child is encouraged to find its matching shape in the bag, the directress moves the bag closer to the child so he can reach inside it.

This is a wonderful activity for children and they always seem to enjoy it. The directress is able to see how much the child has grasped from the first and second presentations.
