Montessori Blue reading material

Once the child has successfully completed the pink reading series in Montessori, they move onto the blue reading material. The blue reading material is very similar to the pink reading material, the difference is the child will now be reading four or more letter phonetic words.

The presentations for the blue Montessori reading materials follows the same procedure as the presentations using the pink reading materials, the only difference being of course there are just more letters.

The child cannot move onto blue reading if he has not completed all of the pink reading activities. These exercises are more difficult for the child, as he will be reading longer words with more letters. The child will also be introduced to the Montessori ‘sentence cards’ while working with the blue reading material.

Moving onto blue reading is very exciting for the child and a big achievement for him. He progresses further to the enjoyment of his reading experience.
