Auditory sense
When you hear things, your brain will begin interpreting what is being heard. Pathways in your brain which carry this information will be strengthened and the child, through experience, will get better at understanding the sounds and the world around them.
The Auditory sensorial materials are as follows:
Sound cylinders/boxes (presentation one: matching)
Children learn how to match the same sounds using the Montessori Sound Cylinders. Through our observations, children seem to enjoy this activity very much and enjoy repeating it many times.
Sound cylinders/boxes (presentation two: grading)
In the second presentation with the Sound Cylinders, the child will only need the red cylinder box. The child is encouraged to grade the cylinders from the loudest sound to the softest sound.
