Whisking

Whisking is a very fun and interactive elementary activity. Children learn how to whisk soapy water to form bubbles. They will understand the concept of what happens when you whisk something together. This teaches children independence, fine motor development, and patience. Whisking also develops the hand and wrist muscles.

How whisking encourages kids

Children are encouraged to fill the water in a bowl by themselves, as well as putting the washing up liquid inside the bowl. Of course, once the child has finished whisking and has successfully formed loads of bubbles, the children then pack away by themselves and rinse the soapy water down the sink. Packing away the whisking material and clearing up is an important part of the Montessori activity as it teaches them not to always leave clearing up to adults.
