Sorting objects of the same size and shape
In the last activity, the child was asked to sort objects according to colour. This Montessori activity is similar, however this time the child needs to separate objects by either the same size or by the same shape.
A good activity might be to prepare a jar of many circles, stars, squares, triangles, etc. The child then needs to sort and separate shapes into separate piles. Alternatively, the child can sort different objects according to size.
