Buckle Frame
You know buckles? The kind of thing you have to do up a belt, where the prong goes through the hole in the corresponding strap. In this practical life activity, you’ll be teaching children to do up and undo buckles using a Buckle Frame
How many buckles are on the Buckle Frame?
On the Buckle Frame, you’ll usually find about six or seven buckles which the children will need to fasten and unfasten. Children will have to concentrate while doing the Buckle Frame and this will teach children independence as they will learn to dress themselves.
We have observed that children find it much easier to do up buckles on the Buckle Frame itself, as it is right in front of them. Children will learn to be patient, concentrate, be independent, and hand-eye coordination. The child will be asked to work slowly and unbuckle the straps one by one, in stages. The same applies to doing up the buckles again.
