Field trip
A field trip is always a great introduction to zoology, especially in Montessori as we always start with a concrete idea, and gradually move to the more abstract ideas. It is important for the child to see the BIG picture first and then move onto the smaller details.
The directress must always be well prepared for a field trip, making sure she knows where she is going and what she wants to see. The directress should go and see the venue before-hand and make sure all of the parents sign an agreement to let the children join, she must take a cellphone for any emergency and be well prepared.
The children usually come back to school after the field trip is over, and discuss the things they saw.
